I'm a freelance visual artist and textile designer currently based out of NJ, originating from New York's Capital District. I graduated from The Fashion Institute of Technology's Textile and Surface Design BFA program, in accompaniment to SUNY studies in entrepreneurial marketing, accounting, and fine arts.
My love for tactile experiences have been incorporated in numerous forms of craft, with an attraction to organic materials response to manipulation. A long-time focus on weaving led to continued membership in The Handweaver's Guild of America, and through FIT, the opportunity of independent studies in natural dyeing and advanced weaving at the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design. I have also studied textile techniques with a co-author of “The Woven Pixel”, Bhakti Ziek, Hannah Schultz at the Textile Arts Center, NYC, Michel Garcia at Maiwa, in Vancouver, CA, and Making Center technicians of Parsons School of Design, NYC.
